2015 Ford Explorer – A First Look

The 2015 Ford Explorer more than lives up to the standard set by last year’s model. We’ve taken a look at the 2015 model here at your local Indianapolis Ford dealership. It is an affordable midsize SUV, but it has a high-quality interior and fuel-efficient engine.

Engine Options

The standard trim comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 290 horsepower and, according to the EPA, you’ll get 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. Further options are available, such as the more fuel-efficient 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder with 240 horsepower. The 2015 Explorer Sport is the most powerful, with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 that gives a pleasing 365 horsepower.

The standard model has front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive can be purchased as an option.

Plush Interior

Seating up to seven in comfortable, spacious heated leather seats, the 2015 Ford Explorer offers a quality feel for the interior of the cabin. The technology available as standard is:

– MyFord Touch infotainment system
– SYNC, allowing Wi-Fi access
– HD Radio with iTunes
– Text to voice
– Voice-activated navigation system
– USB ports
– MyKey, allowing parental control over vehicle speed limits and audio volume for younger drivers.

Further available options include:

– Adaptive cruise control
– Post-crash alert system
– Curve control (slowing the Explorer if a curve is taken too fast)

The 2015 Ford Explorer available at our Indianapolis Ford dealership is just in, and it is waiting for you to come and take a closer look.

Huge Range of Used Cars Available at Bloomington Ford Indianapolis

Here at Bloomington Ford, we have a large range of pre-owned Ford and other brand name vehicles to satisfy any customer requirements. Buying used rather than new can save you a lot of money, as well as having numerous other advantages, such as:

Minimizing Depreciation

Buying a car that is one, two, or three years old and driving it until you can’t drive it any longer is without a doubt the most cost-effective way to own a car, because a significant amount of depreciation happens immediately after buying the car and within the first year of ownership. So, buying nearly new, and then owning a vehicle over a long period of time makes the most sense for the savvy customer.

Vehicle History Keeps the Risks Low

Knowing the history of the vehicle you want to buy can help to make sure you aren’t buying someone else’s problematic car. Certified pre-owned cars are also available, which meet a manufacturer’s set of criteria for quality, and sometimes even have a warranty.

Secondhand Luxury Is Still Luxurious

By buying used, you can spend the same amount of money, but get a better quality car. You could end up with a better model than you would have otherwise been able to afford.

Come visit our Bloomington showroom to see for yourself the used cars we have available right here in Indianapolis.
